Checkmate!!

The sun was shining today so that means only one thing a matching two-piece!
So I stepped out in the British sun wearing a white and black checkerboard effect, an asymmetric skirt and contrasting bommer jacket. It was clear that I was playing no games as I finished this look with a pop of neon green court shoes just to give it that edgy vibe that’s needed when putting together an outfit. Checkmate!
So, I hate it when people say that it costs too much to look good and be stylish and hit all the recent trends.
Todays outfit is a perfect example of ‘The Great British High Street’ in all its glory.
There is no excuse to look drab if you’re in desperate need off a new outfit when you have Primark in close reach!
It is so affordable and yes you may have to be selective with your choices but I can guarantee that no matter what season I would always be able to pick a cool, affordable and trendy outfit from this store! So get looking guys!
Down to their on trend shoes, their sassy clutch bags, their key must have pieces, sexy underwear or even their gym wear can’t disappoint my cravings when the budget is a little low. It’s a must, must, must.
Things I would say to look out for when shopping in Primark is the cut of the fabric so take time to look at the product and make sure that the alignment of the fabric is perfect as sometimes they can cut the fabric without matching the pattern at centre front or side seams so be aware that every piece is different. I advise you pick up a few of the same item in the size you want and inspect the clothing as garments will vary even within the same style. I spent time to make sure that the checks were centred at the front and again at the side seams. This little trick will make you look less Primark more high-end fashion.
When shopping in cheaper stores such as Primark you have to think about the bigger picture. I know I say this a lot but if you pull your outfit together with something a little more expensive people will not notice where it is from. You overall look will scream chic! chic! chic!
In the look I’m rocking today I pulled it together with the neon shoes £50 River Island, which I must say is a great buy. Bright shoes can make an outfit so think bold think bright. Why not right? Summer is almost here so embrace it!
Ohhh and I must not forget to say ‘the perfect way to look catwalk ready in less than a second whether it is worn on your head or on your face, is big Cat eye sunglasses mine £10 ASOS which I think is a bargain they just shout ‘celebrity’ so put them on when you can just like me (any excuse will do) and watch the heads turning!’

YESSSS YESSSSSSS YESSSSSS

As my mouse was moving over the page numbers I found myself screaming yessss yessss yesssssssssss! Just like Nicole in her resent herbal essence advert as I viewed her perfectly designed collection at Missguided.com and guess what it is affordable which is always a plus!!
So lets high five Nicole and start picking our perfect pieces I’ve picked mine, do you want to see?
We could all see a collaboration forming as she hit the Xfactor stage wearing bits and bobs from the UK’s true online love Missguided.
This is definitely exactly what Misguided needed and I’m pleased to say that I have made my first purchase today and I cant wait to get my hands on even more!
This is another celebrity collection that I think would be more flattering towards the slim girl with its cut out sides and clinging fabrics! But don’t fret curvy girls we still can rock a few of these outfits better than anyone and when in doubt the Kardashian’s collection is perfect for us!
My favorite outfit is the faux leather high waist trousers that compliments all shapes as it rests in the waistline and creates the perfect silhouette.
So this little black dress is just a must have, they do have it in blue as well but I think everything looks better in black with its backless cross over strap detail at the neck it screams sex appeal and we all want to look classic and sexy. This is just the perfect mix.
Whether its her cupped bra details on her dresses or on her playsuits it is the perfect thing to wear when the evenings are getting a little colder but shows enough skin to tease the eye. I’m just in love with the effort she has put into her designs it just screams Nicole and that’s what I love.
Her white dress with the slash cut out detail is sassy and fresh and takes us back to her pussycat doll routs that we all wanted to be a part of and now we can!
These are must haves so get out those cards girl and get purchasing and strut your stuff just like this Hawaiian goddess.

Devil Wears Puma.

I’ve always believed in the expression ‘The Higher The Heels The Closer To God’ and everything other that my gym shoes have a few inches on it!

I feel like it’s an apocalypse! The world might very well end, and they are taking every Manolo blank and Jimmy Choo with it!
Yes we all love a bit of individual styling here and there, so we all had to take a step back and watch the trendy few rock their Nike trainers with their dresses and their grandad shirts as they side stepped around Ibiza and all the house nights they could possibly find. But when does that individual trend stop at individuality? Trends are called trends because they are set then followed.
I feel like it has been a ‘hot’ second and we are seeing that all heels are disappearing. This may sound like a biased view by a trainer hater and that is pretty much what I am and maybe I am writing this in the hope that I too might conform to the flat-footed majority. The stylish brogue and the flattering pump being over looked by an Air Max or other style trainers you would only normally see in a dole queue. Is this really the end of the peep toe and the kitten heel? Even designers such as Chanel have been seen strutting the models down the catwalk in Paris in their very own trainer-boot and I must admit the models looked trendy, casual and flawless yet they are on the 6ft level and I just can’t see my legs looking that good when I’m only a stumpy 5ft 5ins!
Does the devil no longer wear Prada heels but simply Puma trainers? Only time will tell.

Passport to Paris .

Passport to Paris.

Paris is the place I have always dreamed of going so I have been thinking to myself why Paris? I have been obsessed ever since my granddad use to watch the Olsen twins in 'Passport to Paris' with me when I was young. This led me to carry on my craze, by watching the 'Sex In The City' episodes of Carrie in Paris over and over again.

The idea that Paris is the place you go to fall in love has always left me in a rĂªver like state, dreaming about being whisked away just a few streets down from Chanel on the cobble streets, next to the finest Parisian patisserie. In a knee length polka-dot dress sporting a fur beret and lifting my leg to show the rouge sole of my Louboutins as we kiss. Unrealistic?

Over the years I have invested in my dream. I own the most beautiful vintage cream fur beret that I love, probably as much as its previous owner and I have recently found my perfect spotted dress in Laura Ashley. It is a definite pay day buy as it is a little pricy, yet I love the way the jersey material hangs and it is the perfect length, shape and cut. It just screams Paris on a sunny day! I love it! It has a belted detail too which hangs effortlessly that you can't actually see on the pictures! It is a must have buy for me, for you, for Paris.
